This was a wonderful read jess, something I'm learning as I get older as a writer: It's important to not worry about what people or critics says about your work, you should only hope for them to consume it. It's not your job grade or reject your work, your job is to create and share it to the world.
Love this. Our work really is not about us- it’s about other people. This is really hard to tap into. But once I surrender the ego - I feel so free.
Indeed, it’s strange, the Jedi mind-tricks we have to play with our brains to quiet the ego.
This resonated with me for a similar but different sort of fear of being seen. Thanks for writing, and sharing, in bravery.
