Why this newsletter?

In December 2022,

Jess left the cold New York City grind

for sunny South Florida.

And that’s where this newsletter unfolds.

What you can expect from Letters from The Safe House

The Safe House is like my permanent artist's retreat; a Spirit-driven gift to myself. It’s a galaxy of its own, actively unfolding as I practice more of my love for creative writing. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Journal entries

  • Personal essays

  • Short stories and the occasional poem

  • Love letters, odes and elegies and so much more…

Support!

I’m taking a bet on my creative practice and getting more serious about my craft. A lot of thought, love and consideration goes into this Substack. While it is free to read at this time, I would appreciate any pledges of your support through a paid subscription. Consider it an energy exchange for the entertainment that this newsletter is sure to provide! I’m currently brainstorming ways to provide benefits to paid subscribers when I get them.

Stay up-to-date & contribute

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. I send out a new dispatch every Sunday morning. I may release one extra email on occasion; likely once a month and once per quarter.

I’d love your feedback, words of encouragement and anything letting me know you like what you’re reading so far! Please don’t hesitate to leave comments, I’d love to hear from you! If you’re not on Substack, no worries, you can simply reply to my emails when I send a new post!
