Back in late 2019, I was working at an advertising agency in NYC as a brand strategist focused on a social impact project with Air Wick and the WWF. Air Wick wanted to develop a marketing campaign to show that they care about the environment (as many do).

While the campaign was certainly greenwashing on Air Wick’s part, I was grateful for the opportunity to dig into a topic that I hadn’t given much thought to before. We did a ton of research to understand the ways the company could show up to do good for the environment and we landed on saving the bees.
